Diversity
Solutions
The
Race Relations Amendment Act 2000
puts new responsibilities onto public bodies regarding policy, practices,
attitudes and behaviour towards people from other cultures, and
gives the Commission for Racial Equality (CRE) the power to monitor
results.
- Fairness
for All offers practical courses for increased knowledge,
awareness and confidence in dealing with race
issues. We guide participants through a range of difficult issues
from Institutional Discrimination
to defining and recording Racial
Incidents. The courses can also be adapted to
focus on areas of diversity such as gender or disability.
-
In our experience, many Race Equality
Policies and Schemes are formulated in haste to
satisfy the regulations. Inevitably in such cases gaps appear
in:
— Understanding the implications of the
policy.
—
Knowing how to put the policy into practice.
—
Feeling confident that all are carrying out the policy.
Fairness for All provides clear advice and skilled
training for all your staff.
- All
public bodies can be subject to complaints,
which are time consuming and stressful. We can offer advice and
training, which will increase confidence and help to prevent future
complaints.
- If
you require a mediator
to explore a sensitive situation Fairness for All
will help.
- Our
external audits
are non-threatening, non-disruptive, quick & efficient.
- Understanding
issues of race and diversity is increasingly vital in the areas
of personnel and customer services. Our courses can give your
staff the necessary awareness and confidence to develop in an
evolving cultural climate.
