Courses
that work
What
does the course look like?
A mixture of practical
and listening activities. Through discussion
we present ideas, which may challenge
but never threaten our clients. The trainer creates
an atmosphere where sensitive and contentious issues can be reflected
on in safety. We highlight the difference between Prejudice
and Discrimination and the effect that Racism
has on the victim. To do justice to the course and subject matter
it is important to give yourself a reasonable amount of time. Here
are some examples:
A full day course
A 2-day course
Two half-day courses
Three twilight sessions
Four twilight sessions
Is
there a set format?
Because all institutions are different, with varying experiences
and needs, we tailor
course material accordingly, every time.
What
is the best arrangement?
Groups of up to 15
make an ideal setting enabling all participants to contribute their
thoughts and feelings.
Is
it suitable for Managers?
Yes. Managers play
a key role in promoting good relations with staff and guiding them
around diversity issues. Some organisations prefer to train managers
separately.
Is
it successful?
Very. You and your
staff will enjoy the chance to talk and share ideas. It helps people
to think about neglected issues in a safe and fun way.
Be prepared to laugh when dealing with these challenging issues!
